The tennis tournament scheduled for today in Spearman has been cancelled due to weather.
A generous donor had 100 “Praying for a Rocket” pins made. If you’d like one to clip onto a lanyard, your clothing, or even keep in your vehicle, stop by the high school office or comment below and we can deliver to you. Each pin is $3, with all proceeds going to the Salinas family to help with medical expenses.

Congratulations to WHS Senior, Harlee Gomez, for being named 1st runner up in the Miss Irish Rose Scholarship Pageant today in Shamrock. Harlee wins a $740 scholarship. 1st Place Mixed Doubles A Division-Oakley Folk and Lawson Inman
3rd Place Mixed Doubles B Division-Taytum Kane and Jax Heflin
Consolation Runner Up A Division Mixed Doubles-Sabrina Segovia and Anthony Ortiz
4th Place A Division Boys Doubles-Noah Cantu and Cal Kane
The team ended their day with a trip to Buc-ee's.

The Little Miss/Junior Miss/Teen Miss Wellington pageants will be held on Sunday, April 6th, at 2 p.m. Entry forms will go home with elementary and junior high girls this week. Entry fee is $25 and the deadline to sign up is March 28th.

Wellington High School was chosen as an advancing play at the District 2-2A One Act Play competition hosted in Wellington today. Wellington advances to bi-district with Panhandle and Wheeler. Clarendon was the alternate advancing play. Also competing was Memphis and Quanah.
Individual awards included Jaci Porter with a Technical Award, Maggie Tillman as Honorable Mention-All Star Cast, and Ava Garcia and Jackson Jones were named All-Star Cast.
Bi-district will be held in Stinnett at West Texas High School on March 27th.

Wellington High School will host the District 2-2A One Act Play contest TODAY starting at 1pm. Shows will run back to back starting with Clarendon at 1pm. Wellington is second followed by Quanah, Panhandle, Wheeler, and Memphis. Critiques will be given after each play so Wellington High School should go on around 2pm.
