Mile relay results Varsity girls mile relay team of Hadlee Gomez, Kyla Kane, Asia Shrubs, and Audrey Jones finished in 3rd place advancing to regionals. 100/110 meter hurdles Varsity girls-Hadlee Gomez is the 1st place area champion advancing to regionals! Varsity boys-Marc Ramirez is the 1st place area champion advancing to regionals. Nixon Folk was 6th.

WHS junior, Summer Owens, has officially advanced to state in tennis after finishing 2nd today in girls singles at the Region 1 tennis tournament in Amarillo. Summer played tough against the regional champion from Christoval who made it all the way to the state semi-finals last year at the state tournament. Summer will represent WHS in the state tennis tournament on April 26 and 27th in San Antonio. Congratulations Summer! 🚀🎾🚀

It was a tough day at the Region 1 tennis tournament in Amarillo today. WHS took 11 student athletes that had either won district or was the district runner-up. Only Summer Owens was able to win all 3 matches today and advance to the region 1 championship which will be played tomorrow for a chance to advance to the state tennis tournament. Good luck Summer!
