It was a fantastic day in San Marcos at State VASE! Out of over 32,000 entries statewide, WHS sophomore Elli Ouellette placed in the top 7%, earning a prestigious Gold Seal for her outstanding artwork — recognized as one of the best in Texas. Her piece will now travel across the state with the other Gold Seal winners.
In addition, WHS had three students earn All-State medals: Rilynn Southerland, Jasmin Moreno, and Damian Needham. Charlee Bodine also proudly represented WHS at the event.
Congratulations to all of these talented students and a big thank you to our incredible art teacher, Marnie Kane, for her dedication and leadership! 🚀🎖️🎨
