Varsity girls win a 37 to 36 overtime thriller at home against a tough Valley team.
JV boys opened the season on the road defeating the Lefors varsity by a final score of 57 to 45.
JV girls fell to a good West Plains team by a final score of 32 to 47.

Varsity boys got two wins yesterday in the Robert Hall Motors Tournament in Jayton to move to 5-0 on the season. You can watch all the games in the tournament with a subscription to NFHS.
In the first game, we defeated Saint Jo by a final score of 50 to 40.
In the second game, we defeated 3A Jacksboro by a final score of 46 to 42.
Varsity boys have today off, but will play Haskell tomorrow morning at 10:20 am to complete pool play. 🚀🏀🚀

We are sad to report Wellington Elementary 5th grader, Jazlin Castaneda, passed away. We have local clergy and counselors at the elementary at this time. Varsity boys basketball pulled away from San Jacinto in the tournament semifinals today in Memphis winning by a final score of 56 to 39 advancing to the championship game tomorrow at 5:45pm.
Varsity girls basketball defeated Petrolia this afternoon by a final score of 44 to 42 moving to 3-0 in the Childress Rotary Tournament. We will end the tournament with a tough match against state ranked Holliday at 10:20am tomorrow morning.

Varsity boys opened the season with a 62 to 32 win over Panhandle’s JV in the Memphis Tournament. Rockets will next play tomorrow in the semifinals at 12:45.
Despite trailing after the first three quarters in the opening tournament game in Childress against 3A Spearman, our Lady Rocket varsity girls had a big 4th quarter with back to back 3’s to defeat the Lynxettes for the second time this season winning by a final score of 35 to 28. Lady Rockets will next play another 3A school, Denver City at 5pm later today. 🚀🏀⛹🏽♀️⛹🏽♂️🚀
