Wellington ISD Migrant Coordinator, Linda Porter, was the recipient of the spirit stick at yesterday's pink out pep rally. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This month we honor all those that have or are fighting cancer. On Tuesdays we wear our Linda shirts, but everyday we stand with Linda and are united for a cure. 🚀💓🚀

Congratulations to our District Champion Lady Firecracker Cross Country team coached by Karen Fisher. The girls won the district meet in Wheeler today and were led by 5 individual medalists including Taytum Kane in 2nd, Anna Henard in 4th, Anna Dwyer in 6th, Aleah Lewis in 8th and Autumn Shatswell in 10th. Others on the team are Gannon Guy, Grace Peters, Jaylah Menefield, Kobee Lewis and Hartley Kane. Congratulations Lady Firecrackers! 🧨🏃♀️🏆🥇🧨
Lady Rocket Cross Country finished as the 2nd place runner up team at the District 2-2A meet in Wheeler today advancing the entire team to regionals. Individually, Addy Mock was the 2nd place medalist while Sabrina Segovia was the 8th place medalist. Finishing one place shy of a medal was Presley Kane. Right behind Presley was Ayz'lin Menefield followed by Leslie Orozco and Angela Lewis. Harlee Gomez is also on the team. Running on JV today and medaling was Elli Ouellette, Ceighley Killian and Addy English. The girls are coached by Cade Brown. Great job Lady Rockets! 🚀🏃♀️🥈🚀
