Our freshmen kick off STAAR EOC testing tomorrow (Thursday, April 11th). We need all freshmen to be at school by 8am so testing can begin promptly. Students have 7 hours to test. Please get a good nights rest and eat a good breakfast. 🚀

After the running finals at the area track meet in Wellington today, here are your results and your regional qualifiers. 400 meter relay-2nd place team included Travon Lewis, Anthony Ortiz, Kamron Brooks & Brenden Garcia 800 meter relay-1st place area champions included Demarcus Lewis, Travon Lewis, Anthony Ortiz & Brenden Garcia 1600 meter relay-1st place area champions included Demarcus Lewis, Anthony Ortiz, Kamron Brooks & Brenden Garcia 200 meter dash-1st place area champion was Demarcus Lewis 110 hurdles-3rd place was Bryant Tarver & 4th place was Carson Tarver All these boys are coached by Creighton Henderson. The regional track meet will be April 19th & 20th at WTAMU in Canyon. Congratulations! 🚀🏃🏽‍♂️🚀

We already have Lady Rockets and Rockets that have advanced to regionals from the area track meet today. Here are the results before running finals start at 2:30pm. Sabrina Segovia qualified in the 3200 finishing in 4th place. Kaitlin Bawcom got 2nd and Audrey Jones 3rd in the discus qualifying both for regionals. Kaitlin broke the WHS record with her throw of 123'10" Major Brown finished 2nd in the long jump, was the 1st place area champion in the triple jump, and finished 3rd in high jump qualifying for regionals in all 3 events. Carson Tarver finished 2nd in high jump and 4th place in the long jump qualifying for regionals in both events. Jovani Munn finished in 3rd place in the shot put qualifying for regionals. Congratulations! 🚀

We are hosting the area track meet today in Wellington. Field events begin this morning with running finals beginning at 2:30pm. The top four in each event will advance to regionals. Go out and support our Rockets and Lady Rockets and visit the concession stand a few times today to benefit WHS Athletics. 🚀🏃‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️🚀
