UPDATE! Memphis cancelled the JV boys game so we'll start at 5pm with the freshmen girls. 5 games tonight with four at home starting with the freshman girls at 4pm. JV girls will play Lefors varsity in Lefors at 6pm. The WHS Student Council has decided to donate $150 to the family of Scot Wright, the Dalhart High School Principal who tragically lost his life earlier this week. We will do a moment of silence in Mr. Wright's honor and there will be buckets at the concession stand if you feel led to donate to the Wright family. On Tuesday, Shamrock has no JV boys team so our JV boys will play at 4 vs Valley's JV. JV girls will play afterwards to start our 3 games with Shamrock. 🚀⛹🏽‍♂️⛹🏼‍♀️🏀🚀

Wellington ISD will be dismissing at 11:15am Friday 12th. The County stock show will be Saturday 13th and no school on Monday 15th.

WHS will be approving the 2023-24 Campus Improvement plan on Friday, January 12th at 8:30am in the high school conference room. The Federal Report Card for WISD and each of our campuses was released recently by the Texas Education Agency. A copy of this went home with each student's report card today so please ask your student to see this. The 2023 Federal Report Card for WHS will also be discussed at this Friday's 8:30am meeting. Any WHS parent is invited to attend this meeting! Also as a reminder, all campuses will dismiss at 11:15am on Friday to allow our teachers and staff to attend a required training. Best of luck to all our students competing in the Collingsworth County Stock Show on Saturday, January 13th. WISD will not have school on Monday, January 15th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
