Lady Rockets end a tremendous season falling just short to Nacona 40 to 42 in the state semifinal game at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Thanks for giving us great memories this season. We will miss you Presley, Kaitlin, Abby, Audrey, Briley, Charley and Kendra! You will always be the seniors that made school history. 🚀⛹🏼♀️🏀🚀

The state semifinal game is TODAY at 10am as our history making Lady Rockets take on the Nacona Lady Indians. We hope to see Skyrocket Nation in full force at the Alamodome cheering on the ladies in red and white!

Check out these Lady Rocket Senior caricatures created by Art teacher, Marnie Kane, and her art students. They were used to decorate the Rocket bus that was taken to San Antonio. They are amazing just like our Lady Rockets! 🚀⛹🏼♀️🏀🚀

What an amazing send off we had in town for the Lady Skyrockets. We are working to put a video together to showcase this morning. We would like to express a huge thanks to our friends in Childress ISD for escorting our Lady Rockets through Childress. Here are a few pictures from the event, but check out the video from Childress in the comments. Thanks to Nora Avalos Kelley, a WHS Class of 2002 graduate and current Bobcat Booster Club President for helping organize the escort through Childress. Skyrocket Nation would also like to wish the Childress Bobcats the best of luck as they compete in the 3A Region 1 Tournament at the Tiger Pit at Frenship High School this weekend. Win the region Bobcats and win state Lady Rockets!

First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by the wildfires this week.
The send off for our Lady Rockets is still on for 8:45am. Since the wind will prevent any drones from flying, please text any video footage from today's send off to Jermaine Cantu at 806-336-8616 or email to jermaine.cantu@wellisd.net so we can attempt to capture memories from the send off by putting a video together. Also if you are participating in the send off with transportation, please line up on Haskell Street as the send off will encompass all of 15th Street.

The WHS Gym is open for our friends in the Wheeler and Canadian communities.

Reminder, we will have a history making state send off for our Lady Rocket basketball team tomorrow morning (Wednesday, February 28th) at 8:45am. If you are planning on having anything with wheels in the send off tomorrow, please contact Renee Hanna at (806) 930-8975 so we can have a good plan in place. Let's send our girls off in style!

The well wishes for our Lady Rockets keep pouring in from across the state and beyond. Here's one from Las Vegas, Nevada from Class of 2017 graduate, Lorena Granados!

WHS freshman, Bailey Page, placed 3rd with her heavy weight Limousine steer at the San Antonio Stock Show. Congratulations to Bailey on her sale making steer! 🚀🥉🚀
