We got word that Antonio Rodriguez placed 4th at the Wichita Falls Welding contest last week. There were 988 entries and he was submitted the 4th best weld in his division. Congratulations! 🚀
Skyrocket baseball will host Memphis today in district baseball action starting at 4:30pm.
The make-up game against Memphis will be played at noon in Memphis on Friday, April 15th.

WHS junior, Summer Owens, has officially advanced to state in tennis after finishing 2nd today in girls singles at the Region 1 tennis tournament in Amarillo. Summer played tough against the regional champion from Christoval who made it all the way to the state semi-finals last year at the state tournament.
Summer will represent WHS in the state tennis tournament on April 26 and 27th in San Antonio. Congratulations Summer! 🚀🎾🚀
The area track meet is tomorrow (Wednesday, April 13th) at West Texas High School in Stinnett. The 3200 will be run at 9:45 with field events starting at 10am. Running finals will begin at 2:30pm. Good luck Lady Rockets and Rockets! 🚀🏃🏾♂️🏃♀️🚀
Congratulations to WHS freshman, Harlee Gomez. Harlee won Saturday’s performance at the Region 1 finals and qualified for the State High School Rodeo Finals in June in Abilene. 🚀🐎 🚀
It was a tough day at the Region 1 tennis tournament in Amarillo today. WHS took 11 student athletes that had either won district or was the district runner-up. Only Summer Owens was able to win all 3 matches today and advance to the region 1 championship which will be played tomorrow for a chance to advance to the state tennis tournament. Good luck Summer! -Fabian Pina and Bryant Tarver lost in the opening round of boys doubles
-Nixon Folk and Carson Tarver won round one but fell in round two of boys doubles

-Audrey Jones and Barret Phillips lost in round one of mixed doubles

Our varsity boys golf team finished as the 2nd place district runner-up advancing the team to regionals. Individually, Caleb Weinette was the District Champion! Others on the team with Caleb include Hunter Stark, Conner Kane, Dakota Marshall, and Caleb Strickland.
The Lady Rocket golf team finished in 3rd place just narrowly missing advancing to regionals. The team includes Kaitlin Bawcom, Kendra Bawcom, Summer Neufeld, Briley Waters, and Emma Flores.
Congratulations to all and good luck at regionals boys! Regionals will be played on April 18 and 19th at the Palo Duro Canyon Golf Course. Go Rockets!
Under the direction of Lana Tillman, the Wellington High School One Act Play is advancing to regionals winning the area championship today in Lubbock. Wellington finished 1st, Boys Ranch 2nd, WT High 3rd, Olton was the alternate advancing play in 4th, Panhandle was 5th and Farwell was 6th. The top three schools advanced to regionals! Individually, we took in several awards.
Brandon Cooper won a technical award.
Summer Neufeld and Kaseten Welch earned honorable mention all-star cast.
Madi Armstrong was all-star cast.
For the third straight competition, Hadlee Gomez was named the best performer/best actress.
Congratulations to this amazing cast and crew! Regionals will be April 22nd and 23rd at Canyon Randall High School. 🚀🎭🥇🏆🚀
