
WHS is hosting the bi-district one act play contest TODAY in the auditorium with the first play scheduled to start at 1pm. WHS is the fourth play and should go on around 4pm. Awards including the announcement of the three advancing plays should start around 7pm. Cost of admission is free so come out and enjoy six great plays! Home Grounds will be selling coffee for $5 in the lobby.


Little Miss/Junior Miss/Teen Miss Wellington pageants will be Sunday, April 21st at 2pm. Entry forms will go home with elementary and junior high girls Thursday!


Lady Rockets finished as the second place district runner up team behind Memphis by 6 shots advancing to regionals. The team advancing includes Allie Duncan, Kaitlin Bawcom, Maggie Tillman, Brynlee Proffitt and Kendra Bawcom. Also competing today was Briley Waters, Emma Flores and Ava Garcia.
Skyrocket varsity boys are your district champion team winning by 50 shots. WHS freshman, Carter Ouellette, was the individual district champion. Senior, Gatlin Guy, was the 3rd place individual medalist.
The boys team advancing to regionals is Carter Ouellette, Gatlin Guy, Gunner Guy, Hunter Hedrick and Major Brown. Also competing for the boys was Carson Kane, Travis Tillman, Conner Bowen, Jake Chandler and Jace Darrow.

Need a dress for prom or an upcoming pageant? The Miss Wellington Scholarship Organization will have their first ever pre-loved boutique event tomorrow from 1pm to 4pm at the First Methodist Church. While monetary donations are not required, any donations will go towards the Miss Wellington Scholarship Fund.

Wellington High School (WHS) and Wellington Junior High School (WJHS) will have cheerleading tryouts tomorrow (Friday, March 22nd, 2024). WJHS will try out in front of the student body at 9am with high school trying out in front of the student body at 11:10am. The student body tryouts are the only portion of tryouts open to the public so feel free to come support the girls. Best of luck to all those trying out!

WHS was chosen as an advancing play at the District 2-2A One Act Play contest today with a spectacular performance of All My Sons. Individually, Kaseten Welch won one of the prestigious Best Performers award, Jackson Jones and Damiana Peters were named to the All-Star Cast, Caleb Strickland was Honorable Mention All-Star Cast and Cecilia Granadoz won a Technical Award. The Wellington FFA land judging team competed in the Ochiltree County SWCD contest today in Perryton. Wellington was the 1st place team with Trenton Wright as the highest placing individual. Lisette Vela placed 7th, Heather Peters placed 10th, Jacy Lampe & Jace Darrow completed the team. Great job Wellington FFA coached by Drew Taylor! 🚀

WHS tennis had a good day in Seymour today. The team of Nixon Folk and Oakley Folk defeated Carson Tarver and Presley Kane to finish 1st and 2nd respectively in mixed doubles. Jontae Roland won boys singles division B! Girls will play tennis tomorrow. Congratulations! 🚀🎾🥇🥈🚀
