The black light pep rally is Friday, October 20th. It's time to glow crazy! 3rd through 12th graders will attend this pep rally in the auditorium so we want to have a color war between the grades and we want our local businesses to get involved. Wear the shirt to the black light pep rally and football game that night!
Order forms will go home with students tomorrow. Each class has been designated a color. Shirts are $15 each with order forms due back to the high school office by no later than 4pm on Tuesday, October 10th. No extras will be ordered.

Colors are Safety Pink, Safety Orange, Safety Green (yellow) and Neon Green.

The 2023 Miss Wellington Scholarship Pageant was held today at the Wellington Ritz Theatre. WHS junior, Mallory O'Rear, is our new Miss Wellington winning a $1200 scholarship. She was escorted by Gatlin Guy. Other scholarship winners included Madeleine Kane as 1st runner up escorted by Conner Kane, Audrey Jones as 2nd runner up escorted by Fabian Pina, Harlee Gomez as 3rd runner up escorted by Braylon Tarver and Summer Neufeld as 4th runner up escorted by Nixon Folk. Others in the top ten included Blaire Forrester, Presley Kane, Alyssa Lewis, Addy Mock and Lisette Vela. All 21 girls did amazing today. Congratulations to Mallory and her court! 🚀👑
The 70th Annual Miss Wellington Scholarship Pageant is today at 3:30pm at the Wellington Ritz Theatre. Miss Wellington 2022, Summer Owens, will be on hand to crown her successor beginning at 3:30pm. Cost of admission is $10 and the Ritz concession stand will be open. Best of luck to all our high school girls competing!
The Lady Rocket Cross Country team was the 1st place team champion today in Elk City, Oklahoma. Our individual medalists included Addy Mock in 6th, Harlee Gomez in 10th, Sabrina Segovia in 12th and Presley Kane in 17th. They are coached by Cade Brown. Congratulations Lady Rockets! 🚀🏃♀️🏆🥇🚀

Lady Firecracker Cross Country ran in Elk City this morning finishing 2nd as a team. The team was led by Taytum Kane's 3rd place finish individually. They are coached by Karen Fisher. Great job Lady Firecrackers!

SrA Lorena Granados and SrA De’Andre Stewart with the United States Air Force visited with WHS juniors and seniors this morning interested in enlisting in the United States Military. Their presentation was engaging and informative as the students had several questions for SrA Lorena and SrA De'Andre. Lorena is a 2017 graduate of Wellington High School. Lorena and De'Andre are currently stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are so proud of you Lorena! Thanks for serving our country. 🚀🇺🇸

Lady Rocket Cross Country ran in the Lubbock Invitational today finishing 7th in the team standings out of 21 teams. Senior Addy Mock was our lone medalist today placing 19th. These ladies continue to put in the work week in and week out. Keep it up Lady Rockets! 🚀🏃♀️🚀
Rockets fall in overtime to the Panthers by a final score of 32 to 38 heading into the bye week with a 3-2 record. Rockets will take next week off before starting district play October 6th in Shamrock.
